On October 12th, the world's largest 26-megawatt offshore wind turbine generator with complete independent intellectual property rights was rolled out in the offshore wind power industrial park of Fuqing City, Fujian Province. This turbine is currently the largest single-unit capacity and the longest rotor diameter offshore domestically-produced wind turbine in the world. The supply chain is fully controllable, and the entire turbine is composed of over 30,000 components. Key technologies such as the generator, blades, bearings, and electrical control system have all reached the world's leading level. It is the latest achievement of the rapid technological progress in the entire wind power equipment industry chain of China, providing strong technical support for helping China build a new power system and achieving the "dual carbon" goals.

The 26-megawatt offshore wind turbine is specially designed for areas with moderate to high wind speeds of over 8 meters per second. The engineering cost of the turbine is low, and the operation and maintenance costs are also low. It can provide lower electricity generation costs and fully meet the requirements of parity. The hub height of the turbine is 185 meters, equivalent to the height of 63 residential buildings. The swept area of the wind turbine blades is equivalent to 10.5 standard football fields. At an average wind speed of 10 meters per second, each turbine can generate 100 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, which can meet the annual electricity needs of 55,000 ordinary households and save over 30,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 80,000 tons.
