Sichuan Province is rich in natural gas resources. Sinopec has multiple enterprises in Sichuan, mainly including Southwest Petroleum Bureau, Exploration Branch, Sichuan Petroleum Branch, Southwest Petroleum Engineering Company, Zhongyuan Oilfield Puguang Branch, etc. Its business covers exploration, extraction, pipeline transportation, petroleum engineering, natural gas sales, refined oil sales, financial services and other fields.

Empowered by smart technology, securing the energy bowl. Sinopec's Sichuan based enterprises are making every effort to accelerate oil and gas exploration and development, accelerate the transformation and upgrading to a comprehensive energy service provider of "oil, gas, hydrogen, and electricity", and focus on building a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient new energy system. Over the past 40 years, Sinopec has accumulated 7 billion cubic meters of atmospheric fields, discovered natural gas reserves of 1.8 trillion cubic meters, produced 200 billion cubic meters of natural gas, and supplied 59 million tons of refined oil in Sichuan. Currently, it has an annual production capacity of 19.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas and is fully committed to being a producer and supplier of clean energy. In addition, enterprises stationed in Sichuan have won 12 National Science and Technology Progress Awards, over 360 Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards, more than 1500 Chinese patents, and 23 foreign patents.

Sinopec's Sichuan based enterprises adhere to the sustainable development path of green and low-carbon, and deeply implement projects such as the "Green Enterprise Action Plan", "Blue Water and Blue Sky Project", and "Energy Efficiency Doubling Plan". They innovate the application of harmless treatment and comprehensive utilization technologies in oil and gas exploration and development, comprehensively achieve the standard emissions of "water, gas, slag, and sound", and establish a new image of "clean and low-carbon, industry-leading". Related enterprises have won national level green mining pilot units, national greening model units, Sichuan Province water-saving enterprises, Sichuan Province green manufacturing demonstration units, etc. Based on the conversion of 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas to 13 million tons of standard coal, the 200 billion cubic meters of natural gas supplied in the past 40 years can replace 260 million tons of standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 220 million tons, equivalent to planting 350 million trees and stopping 25.76 million economy cars for one year.
Take on social responsibility and serve a better life. Sinopec's Sichuan based enterprises continue to carry out activities such as caring for special groups, donating funds for education, voluntary blood donation, health assistance, knowledge popularization, and volunteer service, demonstrating responsibility and commitment through practical actions. Each enterprise has invested a total of 69 million yuan in targeted poverty alleviation and poverty alleviation work in Xuanhan County of Dazhou City, Cangxi County of Guangyuan City, Muchuan County of Leshan City, and other places, benefiting over 14000 people, driving employment for 57000 people, assisting in the construction of 210 kilometers of roads, and building new communities for 15000 people. In addition, various enterprises donated a total of 810 million yuan in donations and materials for earthquake relief and post disaster reconstruction. The "Sinopec Guangming" Health Express cured 3592 cataract patients for free in Sichuan Province.
