The kickoff meeting for creating Guangxi style Guipai architectural design was successfully held
On January 11th, the Guangxi Survey and Design Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Association") organized a kickoff meeting in Nanning to create the distinctive Guangxi style architectural design style. Chen Yongqian, Director of the Survey and Design Management Department of the Housing and Urban Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region, Lu Shaoqing, a fourth level researcher, Zhong Yi, Chairman of the Association, Qin Yanna, Party Branch Secretary, Vice Chairman, and Secretary General, and Wang Guiqiang, Vice Chairman and Executive Deputy Secretary General, attended the meeting. The kickoff meeting invited nearly 120 Guangxi engineering survey and design masters in the field of architectural design, as well as leaders of Class A architectural design qualification units, chief architects, and relevant personnel in the area. The meeting was chaired by Qin Yanna.
The purpose of this conference is to study and discuss the creation of Guangxi style characteristic buildings with distinct regional characteristics, ethnic features, contemporary style, and strong applicability, forming a Guangxi style local architectural design style with a strong Guangxi flavor, and effectively promoting the high-quality development of housing and urban-rural construction in Guangxi through practical actions.
At the kickoff meeting, Chen Yong conveyed the relevant requirements for creating the Guipai architectural design style proposed by Yang Lufeng, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Housing and Urban Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region, in his speech at the finals of the first Guangxi "Good House" Residential Design Competition. He proposed that in the process of creating the Guipai architectural design style in the future, four aspects of work need to be emphasized: firstly, to strengthen research and explore the historical origins and cultural connotations of Guipai architecture. The second is to strengthen talent cultivation and team building. The third is to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with all sectors of society. The fourth is to strengthen publicity and promotion, and enhance the popularity and influence of the Guipai architectural design style. He emphasized that creating the Guipai architectural design style is a long-term and arduous task. He hopes that experts, business representatives, and designers can provide suggestions and work together to create a Guipai architectural design style with Guangxi characteristics, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of housing and urban-rural construction in Guangxi.
In his speech, Zhong Yi introduced that in recent years, the association has carried out a lot of work and characteristic activities around "creating the Guipai architectural style" to promote academic research and exchange, and talent cultivation. In particular, it is committed to exploring the topic of "regionalization of modern architecture". Through activities such as the first Zhuangjin Cup · Urban Renewal Competition and the third Regional Characteristic Architecture Academic Forum with the theme of "reshaping regional value", the association has returned to, sought and picked up traditional architectural aesthetics. He believes that carrying out the work of creating the design style of Guangxi style Guipai architecture, endowing Guipai style architecture with identifiable "identity", and excavating and promoting the cultural treasures of Guipai style architecture is of great significance. It is not only conducive to the protection, inheritance and development of Guipai style architecture, but also helps to cultivate talents for the inheritance of Guipai style architecture and achieve "dynamic inheritance".
At the meeting, Chen Yongqian read out the "Implementation Plan for Creating Guangxi's Characteristic Guipai Architectural Design Style (Draft for Review)". Subsequently, the attendees, based on their own design and management experience, conducted in-depth discussions on the characteristics and advantages of Guangxi's local architectural design style, how to create and promote Guangxi style characteristic buildings, and how to optimize implementation plans. The attendees believed that creating Guipai style buildings should focus on reflecting the natural environment, historical culture, and ethnic customs of Guangxi, while also combining modernity and practicality to meet the needs of modern society. They expressed their willingness to actively conduct research and practice on Guipai architectural design styles, and are full of expectations for the charm and influence that Guipai architecture will play in the future.
Qin Yanna announced the list of members of the Guangxi style Guipai architectural design leadership group. At the end of the meeting, Chen Yong made a concluding speech and put forward specific requirements for the next step of work.
This launch event marks the official beginning of a new chapter in the exploration and design industry in Guangxi to create a distinctive architectural design style of the Guipai style. Next, under the guidance of the Housing and Urban Rural Development Department of the autonomous region, the association will carry out various tasks to create a distinctive architectural design style of the Guipai style.
