Accelerate the promotion of green and low-carbon development, and continuously deepen cooperation between China and Singapore in the Tianjin Ecological City
On December 8th, it was learned from the China Singapore Tianjin Eco City that it is a major cooperation project between the governments of China and Singapore, and also the world's first eco city developed through cooperation between countries. Over the past fifteen years of development and construction, the ecological city has transformed a high standard "ecological exclusion zone" into a vibrant and dynamic green new city, achieving the synergy between "high aesthetic value" of the ecological environment and "high quality" of economic development, fully reflecting the exemplary significance of building an ecological city under resource constraints.
On December 7th, the 15th meeting of the China Singapore Tianjin Ecological City Joint Coordination Council was held in Tianjin. During the conference, China and Singapore reached multiple cooperation agreements in promoting the green and low-carbon development of the ecological city. On the same day, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the green innovation industrial park, the main center of the China Singapore Tianjin ecological city.
Promote the construction of ecological cities and upgrade the national green development demonstration zone
In order to continuously expand the first mover advantage of the ecological city in the green and low-carbon field and promote the integrated development of industry and city in the new era, the Tianjin Municipal Government and the Ministry of National Development of Singapore signed a memorandum of understanding on strengthening the green and low-carbon environment and high-quality economic development of the China Singapore Tianjin ecological city. China and Singapore jointly support the construction of an upgraded version of the national green development demonstration zone for the ecological city, and strive to create a demonstrative project of "comprehensive and high-quality forward-looking partnership" between China and Singapore. In the next 10 years, China and Singapore will focus on five key areas: technological innovation, product development, standard certification, comprehensive energy management, and scenario application. They will cooperate in promoting green buildings, green energy, green transportation, green high-end manufacturing, green finance and services, green consumption, and green low-carbon industrial parks. They will support the construction of technology innovation platforms in ecological cities and actively introduce innovative enterprises that develop green and low-carbon technologies, products, and services globally. The ecological city will strive to become the preferred location for innovative enterprises developing green and low-carbon technologies, products, and services globally, and become a benchmark city leading the development of green and low-carbon economy.
Holding the groundbreaking ceremony for the green innovation industrial park, the main center of the ecological city city
The Green Innovation Industrial Park (referred to as the "Green Innovation Park") is located in the core area of the Zhongxin Tianjin Ecological City, and is the main center of the city. It covers a planned area of 1 million square meters and has a ground building area of 1.36 million square meters. The Green Innovation Park is the green low-carbon technology innovation platform, green low-carbon industry development carrier, and the main venue of the China Singapore Green Low Carbon Economy Summit Forum jointly constructed by China and Singapore. It is also a window for China to carry out exchanges, industrial cooperation, and economic and trade exchanges of green low-carbon technology achievements for the "the Belt and Road", especially for countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt. Adhering to the concept of "innovation leading, green and low-carbon, open cooperation, and harmonious sharing", the Green Innovation Park will fully leverage the advantages of China Singapore cooperation, coordinate the layout of production, living, and ecological spaces, deepen green innovation demonstrations, promote green buildings, build zero carbon parks, develop circular economy, and achieve harmonious coexistence between people, people and economic activities, and people and the environment.
According to the functional layout and business distribution, the Green Innovation Park is divided into three major functional areas: green innovation, green industry, and green ecology. The green innovation functional zone focuses on five key links, including technological innovation, product development, and standard certification. It focuses on introducing various innovative entities such as innovative headquarters, professional think tanks, technology research and development institutions, and financial investment institutions to achieve collaborative development between industry, academia, and research. The green industry functional zone highlights intelligence, greenness, and integration, vigorously develops seven industrial fields including green buildings, green energy, and green high-end manufacturing, focuses on attracting high leading and high growth projects, and promotes the agglomeration and development of green and low-carbon industries. The green ecological functional zone relies on key projects such as the China Singapore Friendship Garden and the China Singapore Friendship Library to improve high-quality public service facilities such as green cultural exchange, ecological leisure, and science popularization education. It integrates green and low-carbon technology service applications to create a vibrant, diverse, happy and enjoyable international and low-carbon urban space.
The Green Innovation Center is the first building in the gateway area of the Green Innovation Park, with a total construction area of 65000 square meters. It focuses on introducing high-end formats such as innovative headquarters and professional think tanks, providing green finance, conference exhibitions, and comprehensive business services, promoting industry exchanges and cooperation, and creating a platform for innovative development of green industries. The Green Innovation Center adopts the "TOD" (Transit Oriented Development) construction model, utilizing various green and low-carbon technologies such as passive energy conservation, renewable energy, visual energy management, and three-dimensional greening to create convenient and comfortable public facilities and ecological indoor spaces for the green and low-carbon innovative development of the ecological city.
